60 m water bore for RJ Vincent

We have successfully completed a significant project at the new Yanchep golf course estate for construction company RJ Vincent.

The project involved drilling a high-capacity groundwater bore to meet the expansive golf course’s irrigation and landscaping needs.

The drilling process presented a unique challenge due to the complex geological conditions. A pilot hole was initially drilled through broken limestone and cavernous ground until the clay layer was reached at a depth of 60 metres.

This initial drilling phase was essential for understanding the site’s geology and determining the optimal location for the production bore.

Following the pilot hole, the team reamed the hole to 12 ¼ inches. It installed 200mm PVC production casing and 12 metres of stainless steel screens. Using stainless steel screens ensures optimal water quality by filtering out sediment and debris, thus safeguarding the irrigation system and promoting healthy plant growth.

Aqua Attack conducted an airlift for 12 hours to further enhance the bore’s performance, followed by an 8-hour pump test at 20 litres per second. The results were nothing short of impressive, with the bore producing crystal-clear water and demonstrating a high yield capacity, a clear indication of the project’s success.

With the production bore now ready for the pump’s installation, the Yanchep golf course estate can look forward to a sustainable and reliable water source for its lush fairways, greens, and surrounding landscapes.
